"The painting depicts the abstract body and state the raw feelings of the subjects. There is a tension as I intended to give a bit of twist with horrific elements but comical. I tried to depict the urge of suicide with a bit of wit. This piece aims to communicate a subtly infective sense of life and death. To be human is to have the capacity, at each and every moment, of killing oneself. For as long as we keep this power in our own hands, then we are, in some minimal but real sense, free. Death becomes life, just as from the moment of birth life is already a process of dying. And that is the way how I can sing the joy of being alive."
