Yang Xu

2018, BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting, Wimbledon College of Arts

Yang Xu's work is concerned with a multi-disciplined look at the individual and their in existence everyday life. Through painting, photography, prints, sculpture and video Xu seeks to explore the questions: “Who am I?” and “What am I?” Xu wishes to explore the nature of contemporary culture, the constant stream of doctored images and an idea that we can no longer tell the difference between fact and fiction. Xu is interested in what is a mask, what is the truth and what is real and what is fake.
