Lee Copleston
2018, MA in photography, University of Brighton
Lee Copleston is a Brighton-based visual artist and musician. His personal practice involves manipulating photographic space through hands-on use of materials, and is predominantly concerned with fundamental elements such as light, tone and form. The work is a type of meditative escapism and an exploration between mediums - environments are constructed in relation to other creative fields such as painting, architecture, graphics, sculpture and music. The tension between control and chance occurrences in the production stage gives the work a life of its own in becoming manifest.
