Film Noir is an analogue film project inspired by the great cinematographers of the film noir genre in the 1940s and 1950s. The high contrast, low key lighting and claustrophobic camera viewpoints were inspired by the works of John Seitz in Double Indemnity (1944), Daniel L Fapp's No Man Of Her Own (1950) and Nicholas Musuraca's Out of The Past / Build My Gallows High (1947). Three stylish Hollywood crime dramas that portray narratives of murder and betrayal, invoking feelings of menace, shock and fear from the ubiquitous male protagonist and femme fatale.
