"How do you see the world? Is that different from me? Society loves to give an opinion. Aren’t we consistently told there are two sides to every story? It is these opinions and ways we each see the world, that make true relationships and fuel fascination around the globe. For me there is nothing that can be more honest than to show ones true opinions or views. To bare all is to be truly naked, something that makes most uncomfortable but it is what makes us justly unique and above all absorbing to others. Using my own personal lens on the world I try and portray this ideal through the use of paint. Through exploration of texture, material and colour. What never changes if my use of subject material 'the everyday'. For in the everyday lies beauty beyond belief, another world of texture and tone right before our eyes but unnoticed by most. I feel it is my duty as an artist to bring the everyday to life. Using the old age mantra of Avant-garde bring new life to what is already there. My unequivocal aim is to make the unnoticed, noticed."
