"My work is like archaeology I built up multiple layers of different materials and I then paint everything with black ink then I scrap back to reveal what's underneath, creating a new image. I recycle materials and give them a new life. Each layer means something and plays a big role in the final stage. I often use industrial tools like electric Sanders and an angle grinder to get interesting textures. I start with fifty per cent of my ideas and the other half is dictated by the materials I've put together."
