"My practice is divided between studio work and collaborative arts and writing events aimed at disadvantaged and minority artists and writers. In the studio, my work is centred around creating a visual vocabulary inspired by the matrices of writing, from Arabic calligraphy to letterpress and modern digital fonts. These marks and motifs are used to explore the themes of mapping and topography, incorporating autobiographical and personal inner landscapes and experiences of discrimination and difference."
